About Peter de Heus
Peter de Heus (1984) has been on the rallycross circuit from an early age on. His grandfather, uncles and father we were all active in rallycross with a Deux Chevaux (ugly duck). Peter obtained his racing license even before his driver’s license and could be found in the front of the starting field right from the time he started racing. Engines, gearboxes, chassis; everything is made in-house. In 2011 he became the first driver in his family to win the Dutch Championship.
In daily life Peter works as a chief mechanic at a contracting company in Soil, Road and Hydraulic Engineering. From tractors to trucks. From chainsaws to excavators. Everything is being repaired. He is responsible for the inspection of machines and keeping the warehouse up to standard. From 2018 his rallycross career has been on the back burner. Partly due to the birth of his 2 children, so time to get a top car ready for the start of a race is scarce. His focus has shifted on simracing and live streaming on twitch for now. During the covid-19 lockdown, he came into contact with Charrel Jalving. An idea was born and within 3 months a lively online racing community was created, named: Trackside Esports!
Peter is also active on Instagram as a successful Influencer. Here he vlogs about all the perils that come with the daily life of a family, streamer and simracer and he loves to entertains his followers with funny stories.
